Excellent post. As a long time tea drinker I would agree that these two factors are rarely talked about but make a big difference in your experience. Don't leave your tea to go do another task while it brews, relax for a minute.

I ran into some issues with respect a few years ago and found some interesting things. Respect in my search was found to esteem, it's a sense of worth and is a right or privilege. It can be an obligation required because of someone's position in our life. It is basically an acknowledgement.

This is where reverence comes in; it is the acknowledgment of that respect, the feeling or attitude that comes from deep respect, it is an outward manifestation of respect, a gesture or revering!

So I found they really go hand in hand. Thank you for your interesting thoughts and for reminding me what I've learned.

I don't usually comment but I really enjoyed this video and I think it capture your mission and goals very elegantly.
I started drinking tea only a year ago and enjoy the process of making it which seems to contrast my cubicle nation IT technophile life. Thanks. Slainte

Brilliant...keep doing what you do, Jesse. Love Samovar and frequent the Yerba Buena location at least once a week (or more) as well as buy the teas online.

PLEASE consider opening a Samovar in Marin! I can't tell you how many of us up here in the Mill Valley/Sausalito area would die for a Marin Samovar! :)

Best,

Paul

I love tea, i'm english so have grown up with it, but reading your blog and browsing your site I realise how much i've been missing out on. I find the whole culture your engendering really interesting( sorry bland word) and truly inspirational. Thank you.

Enjoyed the video. As a person of African descent who is a huge tea lover I wonder how I can work with entities such as Samovar to introduce tea to those 45 million of us and expand the pleasures and the market of fine teas?

I'd love any ideas!

I loved The Power of Full Engagement. I'm tickled you mention it in conjunction with tea. Do you have a meditation practice as well? Does or can your tea ritual substitute meditation?
Thanks for the post!
